Dear Mark,

We will be interested in acquiring RefTek 72A-06/6 data acquisition
systems to be used as stand-alone deployments in special projects
including aftershock surveys in the northeast.

On our experience, old Reftek DASs had major technical
problem stemming from SCSI disk drive failure, this accounted
more than 90% of the failure. Recently, Patrick Bastien at
Lamont was able to replace those SCSI drive with low-power
consuming SD memory card (secure digital memory card used in
digital camera and cell phones). Hence, we were able to
eliminate nearly all problem with the RefTek DAS. So,
we can use the RefTek DASs for the next 5-10 years, I guess.

Please let me know, how we can obtain some or all of those
surplus RefTek DASs.

In case, if others wish to use the old RefTek DAS with the
modified 72A-05 (Reftek external disk drive), that will have
SD memory card, please let us know. We can help to
make modification at reasonable costs ca. ~$200-300 per unit
for 8 or 16 Gbyte SD drive.

We will be also interested in receiving Teledyne Geotech 1 Hz S13s
sensors. We have been upgrading old analog legacy stations with
HS-10 short-period sensors that are very old (early ~1970s).
So, we can use as many S13s we can receive. These are
ANSS stations in urban area with high risk.

Regards
Won-Young
