[ANSS-netops] Operating multiple reftek recorders behind a single static IP.

Just use a netgear wgr614 dsl router, it is about 50.00 and it is running
open source software. Using port forwarding you can forward tcpip ports to
different IP's ie

outside:3000 -------> 192.168.1.1:80 or whatever port you want
outside:3002    ------->   192.168.1.2:80
outside:3003    ------->   192.168.1.3:80

Then just point your software to that port. If you need other ports
you could map those also. I have had no issues with the netgears unlike the
linksys units and since you can download the source code for these units,
you could write your own software to run internally.

You should not have any issues UNLESS the refteks contact the home server.
If so they Will all look like they are coming from the same address. The
only way to fix that would be that each reftek would have to send its data
via a separate tcpip port then configure the server to listen on those
ports.

If you need me to clarify just call me at slu.
