[Shake-dev] problems with shakemap and GMT

Hi to All,

here at INGV we have been experiencing some problems lately when we  
attempted the installation of version 3.1 of shakemap on a new server  
running FreeBSD 6.0-RELEASE #0 and using GMT 3.4.6.

Because of the insuccess, that we attributed to the new version of  
shakemap, we then tried to install  version 3.0.1 of Shakemap  but we  
experienced the same problem (*).

The error occurs within GMT but we think that there is something  
wrong occurring before.


Has anybody succeeded in running shakemap (either new or old) with  
the version software we are using ?

*) Our  current and working  version is, however, running OK on  
another server which runs FreeBSD 5.4-RELEASE #1 and GMT 3.4.5.
