FYI. I gave Peter my blessings, not that it matters.

Subject: Requesting permission to use screenshot of USGS earthquakes in
Google Earth

Hi Scott and David,

I'm the product manager for Google Earth. I got your names from Peter
Giencke from the Earth vector team.

Tomorrow, we are releasing a new mobile version of Google Earth that has
support for KML files. One of my favorite files to show is your real-time
earthquake layer
(http://services.google.com/earth/kmz/realtime_earthquakes.kmz). I wanted
to include a screenshot of this in our blog post. I've attached the
screenshot for your review. Could you please let me know if it is ok for us
to include this in a blog post announcing the new support for kml?

thanks,

peter
