Hello all-
In early April we plan to launch the new earthquake maps and event pages that use the PDL system on the Earthquake Hazards Program website. One of the many reasons for developing the new PDL/Indexer system, new interactive earthquake map and event pages was to make our maps more up-to-date and interactive, and run one system rather than 5 systems (less web server load, less maintenance).
We are currently running 5 separate recenteqs systems to support various maps or systems:
1) recenteqsww
2) recenteqsus
3) recenteqsca_nv
4) recenteqsfeeds
5) recenteqsgoogle
We will continue running the 5 recenteqs systems in parallel until everything has been migrated to the new system. However, we cannot continue to maintain the old systems indefinitely. We plan to disable recenteqs on May 29 unless we know of specific dependencies that cannot be migrated before then. Please let us know immediately if you depend on these old systems so we can plan accordingly.
