For anyone who is interested,
Eric and I have been reworking the registration process for the Earthquake
Notification Service. The main goal is to make it easier for users to
subscribe to ENS by giving them the option of receiving a sample ENS
email. The sample email allows the user to quickly get to the registration
page and allows us to skip the confirmation email step of the registration
process. The traditional direct sign up method is still available too.
I'm looking for input about all parts of the changes, especially what the
text should say on the homepage and in the sample email.
I attached a short pdf outlining subscription process. You should try it
out for yourself on the development section of ciimwebpas (
https://ciimp-sslearthquake.wr.usgs.gov/ensd/).
Please let me know if you have comments or questions.
Thanks,
Seth Daugherty
