[CEUS-earthquake-hazards] Central US Seismic Source Symposium, New Orleans, 18 SEP 08

   "Seismic Hazards in the Central US: Is New Madrid All There Is?" Symposium  has been developed for the New Orleans AEG Annual Meeting.  The Symposium has been developed to inform those involved with seismic studies of the character of seismic sources in the Central US.  Buddy Schweig and I are the two symposium organizers.  The Symposium should be of interest to regulators, designers, and those conducting seismic studies.  
   The Central US Seismic Source Symposium will be held from 9 AM to 3:20 PM CDST, Thursday, 18 SEP 08, at the JW Marriott Hotel, New Orleans, LA.  There are also morning and afternoon Seismic Hazard Technical Sessions on Friday, September 19, 2008, if you happen to be interested.  All the information about the Annual Meeting, this Symposium, registration and the hotel is provided at the website on the next line.

   Early registration for the Annual Meeting and certain availability for the hotel ends on Tuesday, 12 AUG 08.  Please go to the website above and make your registration before that date to save money.  Day registration is also available at a reduced cost from full registration.
