Bruce:

That worked nicely.

In testing, I am getting this error:

*sysop at shakemap:/opt/shakemap/bin$ ./grind -event 9583161 -xml -qtm
-verbose -lonspan 20.0*
Using Borcherdt-style site corrections.
Map bound: -128.900000/-108.900000/26.323000/42.803000
GSHHS: Version 2.0.2 or newer is needed to use coastlines with GMT 4.5.2
GSHHS: CVS users must get the GSHHS2.0.2 tarballs from
GSHHS: ftp://ftp.soest.hawaii.edu/pwessel/GSHHS2.0.2_coast.tar.bz2
 GSHHS: ftp://ftp.soest.hawaii.edu/pwessel/GSHHS2.0.2_high.tar.bz2
GSHHS: ftp://ftp.soest.hawaii.edu/pwessel/GSHHS2.0.2_full.tar.bz2
Could not create file
/opt/shakemap/bin/../data/9583161/output/topo_data.grd.landmask at
/opt/shakemap/bin/../bin/topo2grd line 82.
grind: Error: Error in topo/sitecorr map creation, exiting.
*sysop at shakemap:/opt/shakemap/bin$ ls -lh ../data/9583161/output/*
total 6.1M

-rw-r--r-- 1 sysop sysop 2.1M Sep 30 13:51 topo_data.grd.i

So I downloaded the v2.1.0 versions of the GSHHS from
ftp://ftp.soest.hawaii.edu/pwessel/ for coast, high and full, untarred them
and copied the share/coast/* files to /usr/lib/gmt/share/coast/.

But I still get:

*sysop at shakemap:/opt/shakemap/bin$ ./grind -event 9583161 -xml -qtm
-verbose -lonspan 20.0*
Using Borcherdt-style site corrections.
Map bound: -128.900000/-108.900000/26.323000/42.803000
