[Geomag-daily] Black Box Switch

Tina,
Yesterday, I spoke with Bill and had a few questions resulting from what he
told me about your conversation.

I have attached a few photos, which may help with my questions.

The Microcom-Power-Network Switch Board shows what we have installed at a
few observatories, but maybe not at Shumagin.  Regardless, the photo shows
all the parts that should be in you office, near the Display PC.

The part in question is the Black Box Switch.

*Do you have a device like the device shown in the picture of a Black Box
Switch, or something else?*

Bill said the Black Box switch was plugged into a power strip.

If the wires coming from the power strip are red and black, it is probably
a +12 VDC power strip.

If it is a wall transformer, plugged into the power strip, the wall
transfomer will have a label on it, and small black wire going to the Black
Box switch.  This is probably a 110 VAC power strip.

*Is the power strip a 110 VAC strip, or a +12 VDC power strip?*

*If there is a wall tranformer used to power the Black Box device, what
does the label say? (usually it will say what the input VAC is, and the
Output DC voltage)*

Before I can send replacement parts, I need to know what to send you.  I
will send Jim a text so he knows to look at this message too.
