The USGS is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Data Quality Analyst (Physical Scientist - 1301 - GS-11/12) within the Earthquake Monitoring Project (EMP).

Duties:

  *       Analyze seismic data to identify response and sensor problems.
  *       Manage geophysical instrumentation metadata.
  *       Perform acceptance testing of new digital equipment.
  *       Identify standards issues and develop new or modified standards in order to improve digital data products.
  *       Process and interpret geophysical and geodetic data using commercial, university, and bureau-developed processing and interpretive software packages.
  *       Real-time monitoring of various state-of-health parameters.

Other Information:

  *   Permanent, full-time position located in Menlo Park, CA (Soon to be Moffett Field, CA)
  *   Telework eligible within agency policy
