[ANSS-netops] Secured photo archiving with instant upload feature

Hi William,

Thanks.

This definitely looks like a step up from what I’m currently using, so it’s
definitely an improvement. But I suppose I should have been a tad more
specific. I’m trying to see if there’s a way to bypass the “middle man”
here. The middle man being the step that requires me to either email the
pictures to myself or transfer them from my phone/camera to my computer and
then to the storage service.

In essence, what I’m looking for is a feature/app that allows me to take
pictures (cell phone with perhaps a custom photo app) and upload these
pictures directly to my storage archive without the need to email them or
transfer them to my computer.

I.E., Cell phone à photo archive.

Not even sure if something like this exists. At any rate, thanks again for
your help. Appreciate it.

Cheers,

Irving

I use an iPhone and an app called ContextCam which geotags the photos. I
then email it to myself and others.

This is sort of what you want.

Hi all,

Any recommendations for a secured photo archive that allows the user to
geotag and instantaneously upload pictures taken from the field directly
into a cloud type storage?

I’m currently using a service that’s akin to a scaled down version of
shutterfly for field photos. It’s basic and effective, but I’m sure there
are better alternatives.

I’d like to get a few opinions on which services offer more user friendly
options, such as:

1) Security

2) Easy uploading while in field and mobile

3) Geotagging feature that possibly determines your location and
directs you to a more specific sub-folder in your storage directory without
having to navigate there yourself

4) And perhaps timeline and mapping features. Useful, but not a deal
breaker.

Any thoughts or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Irving Flores
