[ANSS-netops] FW: experience with K-2's having internal IP interfacecards

Hi Glenn,

 

We are using MSS-100 serial servers with K-2s.  Occasionally, the MSS-100
freezes, but it is sometimes possible to reset the MSS-100 remotely (without
a site visit), assuming the telemetry is still up.  To do this, log into the
MSS-100 as a privileged user and type "i d 0".  Within a minute or two, the
MSS-100 will finish rebooting.  This should unhang the unit.  If not, a site
visit for a power cycle may still be necessary.
