[Shake-dev] intensity maps missing

thank you very much for your hints.
They triggered some more debugging ideas on my side and I could finally solve the problem.
It was a GMT issue,  related to gmtset CHAR_ENCODING
that for some (still unknown) reasons was set to Standard instead of Standard+.

We ran into error messages like this, but it was a very specific problem so I doubt it is the same as yours. But, who knows!  Do you happen to run RHEL 5 (RedHat Linux Enterprise) on this machine and use ImageMagick?  If so, it's possible a sys admin did an OS update, which included an update to an ImageMagick that broke something (I believe ghostscript didn't work anymore). "yum downgrade ImageMagick" would fix that..

Has anyone seen anything like that already?

This machine runs since may years ShakeMap 3.2 and 4.2.0.

Any feedback or idea is highly appreciated.
