We are using a perl script that Wan made to monitor the RSS feed for new event data. We couple that with our own scripts and automate them all. Beyond just downloading and loading we also automate an intersection analysis with our own data.

Hi Michael,
Thanks for letting us know you're out there. Are you using ShakeCast to get data automatically, or do you download the data manually?
We appreciate hearing from ShakeMap users, so if there are others out there, please let us know!

Hello ShakeMap users-
I'm new on the list and just wanted to introduce myself.
I've been consuming the ShakeMap data feed for about 3 years though we don't actually run an instance of the ShakeMap application. We automate downloading the data and processing it. We then use it in ArcGIS Desktop and our own web application in support of emergency operations.
