[Shake-dev] ShakeMap v3.2: intensity.ps

Dear Brian, Vince, and shake-dev,

I solved my problem with the strange intensity.ps.

I tracked it down to city names in mapping..

I had been originally trying to use the map_cities_label (8 columns
+ city name) format, as described in mapping.conf, and getting the
errors with an unreadable intensity.ps file.

When I switched to the map_cities (lon, lat, city_name) format,
everything worked!

I don't know what was happening with the map_cities_label file, since
it is the same one that I used in our ShakeMap v3.1 (+GMT4.0)
installation, and worked there. It follows the formats for the
map_cities_label files in the sample dataset. (By the way, in the
comments describing the map_cities_label format in mapping.conf,
latitude is listed first, and in all the sample city files, longitude
comes first.)

Perhaps it has to do with using GMT4.2.0.

Thank you,
Georgia
