[Shake-dev] problems with shakemap and GMT

Hi Kris,

It appears that we have sorted out the installation. We have found
that GMT 3.4.5 and 4.0 do seem to work OK with shakemap 3.1 (we have
not tried 3.0.1 but we believe that it should work as well). In
contrast, both GMT 3.4.6 and 4.1 do not work (we have not tested yet
GMT 4.1.2 that has been released just a few days ago.). Note that the
older versions of GMT are not available at all the download mirror
sites and we got ours from UW - Seattle.

I hope that our frustration will be of help to other people.

Thank you

Alberto
