*National Weather Service Operations Utilizing USGS Science*

This presentation will give an overview of day to day National Weather
Service (NWS) forecast and warning operations and how research undertaken
by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) scientists informs and supports these
operations. The main focus will be on post-wildfire flash floods and debris
flows, but it will also touch on the role NWS plays in landslide and
earthquake event and how it relies on the USGS science.
