[EHPweb] PDL Maintenance

At 10:00 (mountain time) today I will start performing maintenance on the PDL databases on our web servers. This maintenance will:

1) Correct a problem with determining magnitude type.
2) Perform table optimizations to speed up performance.
3) Add table indexes to speed up performance.

I will perform the maintenance on each machine in our web architecture in sequence. During the time I am working on a particular machine, that machine will not be receiving new earthquake information. Each machine should be down for no more than 10 minutes and will automatically catch up on any missed event data. You may see small inconsistencies between servers during this time frame.

This entire process should take no more than two hours and I will send a follow up email when everything is complete. Please let me know if you have any questions.
