Hello,

I'm writing to start a discussion about how we might improve the
catalogs page at:
	http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/catalogs/

Scott and Madeleine are particularly on the hook, since they generate
some of our existing formats, but if you have an idea this is the
time. Any ideas to improve this page are welcome.

Some ideas we've already heard:
	- standardize the time/magnitude options we offer for all formats
	- describe/compare each format and the information it offers
	- describe (briefly) recommendations for how to use these feeds in
other applications (compression when requesting, etc...)

Right now we list these formats:
	Google Earth KML
Atom and RSS Feeds (link to CAP alerts)
	CSV Files
	Merged Catalog in XML Format
	Merged Catalog in CUBE Format
	QED Post

We also list offer different time and magnitude ranges depending on
which format you choose:
	M0+, past 7 days
	M1+, past hour
	M1+, past day
	M1+, past 7 days
	M2.5+, past day
	M2.5+, past 7 days
	M5+, past 7 days

Thanks,

Jeremy
