We may want to think about failing over to ehpbackup during this time.
This power outage will last up to 12 hours and affect all of our servers
in Menlo Park except I believe ehp3.

Subject: Campus Power Outage

Good Afternoon Everyone,

According to safety regulation all main, and branch circuit breakers,
transformers, and power panels must to be tested every three years.
Currently they are due in all buildings at the USGS campus. Testing of
these systems require that there be absolutely no power to the building,
including generator power (for those buildings so equipped). To accomplish
this, power from P.G. & E. will be taken of line to the buildings during
the testing.

All persons are required to leave the building before the scheduled
testing, and may not return until testing has been completed. This is due
to all building power being shut down for the testing. Also please power
down and secure all sensitive electronic equipment not on UPS prior to the
scheduled testing time.

Testing for the campus has been scheduled for July 24 & 25 of this month,
with testing to begin at 6:00 AM through 6:00 PM on each day. Buildings 4,
3a, 16, 9g, 11, 10, will be tested on Saturday the 24th, and buildings 20,
1c, 15, 1&2, 3, 9e on the 25th.

We greatly appreciate your patience and cooperation in this matter, and we
will do our best to minimize any inconvenience.
