WASHINGTON, DC – On Tuesday, February 2, the White House will bring
together Federal, State and private-sector interests to promote the

adoption of an earthquake early warning system in the United States and
highlight commitments to advance earthquake safety. The event will include
participation by Dr. John Holdren, Director of the White House Office of
Science and Technology Policy, and Sally Jewell, Secretary of the U.S.
Department of the Interior.



*WHEN*: Tuesday, February 2, 12:30-4:15 PM EST



*WHERE*: Eisenhower Executive Office Building



*RSVP: *This event will be open press. Members of the media, not holding
White House hard passes, who wish to cover this event should contact Chris
Vaccaro (cvaccaro at ostp.eop.gov) to receive a link to register. If we are
