Theme: Learning from the Past to Protect the Future

You will see from a glance at the brochure that the meeting will be an
irresistible opportunity to learn, after two years of damaging earthquakes,
the most important lessons from leaders in our earthquake risk reduction
fields. Because of the joint nature of the meeting you will have a unique
opportunity to network with colleagues at the forefront of all our
professions. Held jointly this year with the National Earthquake Conference,
the meeting is being organized by EERI and the FEMA regional earthquake
consortia.*

The registration site also has information about the hotel and how to submit
poster session abstracts (deadline January 23). The hotel group rate expires
March 23, but the room block could fill up earlier.

*The FEMA consortia consists of the Western States Seismic Policy Council
(WSSPC), the Central U.S. Earthquake Consortium (CUSEC), the Northeast
States Emergency Consortium (NESEC), and the Cascadia Region Earthquake
Workgroup (CREW).
