The JSA Award
 
The Jesuit Seismological Society (JSA) award honors outstanding
contributions to observational seismology.  The JSA award is given by -- and
presented at the annual meeting of -- the Eastern Section of the
Seismological Society of America. A history of the contributions of the
Jesuit Seismological Association to early seismology and of the
establishment of this award is available at:

Call for Nominations
Nominee Criteria 
 
The JSA award may be given for one specific contribution or for
contributions through the years to the field of observational seismology.
There are no restrictions on the recipients or achievements that can be
nominated, but preference will be given to:
€ Members of the Eastern Section
€ Members of the Seismological Society of America
€ Contributions to the understanding of seismology and/or seismotectonics in
eastern North America
 
Nomination Procedure
 
A nominator must be a member of the Eastern Section-SSA.
If you wish to nominate someone, please send a one-page rationale for your
nomination together with your name, your agency/institute, your location and
phone number to the Secretary of the Eastern Section:
