Subject: How to distinguish RT130 and RT130S dataloggers<br><br><br>Somehow I had missed the fact that Reftek started<br>
producing/distributing a "new and improved" datalogger called the<br>
RT130S-01 (note the addition of the "S"). This datalogger has a larger<br>
input voltage range, a new A/D board, a new LID board and a different<br>
bit-weight than the original RT130-01. All newly-purchased Refteks<br>
will be of the RT130S variety.<br>

Now, you may ask, how can I tell if my datalogger in the field is a<br>
RT130 or RT130S ? This is important to know, as you want to use the<br>
correct instrument response.<br>
<br>
Following some Q/A with Reftek, I learned that the only way to tell<br>
for sure is by the combination of the LID and ATD board numbers in the<br>
unit (visible via RTCC). Every unit with serialnumber B500 and higher<br>
*should* be a RT130S, but one should verify this by each unit's board<br>
numbers.<br>
