[Shake-dev] Questions about current and future ShakeMap

Dear all,

At KNMI (Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute) we are using ShakeMap for the induced earthquakes in Groningen, with a customised GMPE specific for the region.

We have some extra requirements that ShakeMap doesn't fulfil, so we are thinking on customising the code. However, before doing that, we would like to know if any of these developments are planned for the version 4 of ShakeMap, or if there is any technical/scientific restriction for doing them.

Here our questions:

1) We would like to use more than the current 3 periods for PSA (0.3, 1.0 and 3.0). Which restrictions should we consider for customising the code? Would it be possible in version 4 to configure a list of periods to compute?

2) Sometimes we would like to obtain the output of the geometric mean of horizontals instead of the maximum value. The same with the unit, cm/s^2 instead of %g for PGA. Again, is there any restriction or will it be configurable in v4?

Many thanks for your help.

Kind regards,
