[Geomag-data] USGS Adjusted Geomagnetic Data update for 01-March-2022

The USGS Geomagnetism Program's Adjusted Data (aka "Provisional" by INTERMAGNET) provides near real time absolutely calibrated and geographically oriented geomagnetic observations. These calibration parameters are usually updated on the first of each month in order to satisfy geomagnetic observatory standards for accuracy and quality control. Updates are deployed at midnight UTC, and may result in noticeable baseline shifts for observatories whose sensor response characteristics may have changed substantially since the last such update, or in rare cases, whose actual sensor has been altered or replaced since the last update. Noteworthy issues to report in this notice:

  * Tucson (TUC) Adjusted data processing was re-enabled after being temporarily disabled in preparation for deployment of a new data acquisition system the week of February 21. Everything went smoothly, so we are re-enabling TUC processing on the first of the month, as-planned.
  * Deadhorse (DED) Adjusted data processing remains offline because no reliable calibration measurements have been made for over a year and a half.
  * Guam (GUA) Adjusted data processing remains offline because we have been unable to reestablish communication with it for over two months. Remote efforts to remedy this situation are ongoing. Also, prior to the loss of communication, the data returned was noisy due to nearby construction. For these reasons it was decided that, once communication is reestablished, multiple absolute measurements should be taken to carefully re-establish the calibration baselines. If this happens before the end of the month there may be an out-of-sequence reactivate of the GUA adjusted data processing.
