All,
The following discrepancies were noted this day:
*Barrow. There were bad 1 second values in H, E and Z at 0902 UT, on
11/9/18 (YD 313). There was a bad 1 second value in the H Component at
0905 UT, on 11/9/18 (YD 313). There were bad 1 second values in E and Z at
1115 UT, on 11/9/18 (YD 313). *
*These were all most likely caused by bin changes.*
*Deadhorse. The internet connection is still down, but we are receiving
data via GOES. *
*Deadhorse Test System (DHT). The Deadhorse Test System data feed is still
down due to the loss of internet connection.*
*College. There was a bad 1 second value in the H Component at 0902 UT, on
11/9/18 (YD 313). Most likely a bin change.*
*Shumagin. There was an artificial Disturbance to all fluxgate components
(H, E, and Z) at 1836 UT, on 11/8/18 (YD 312). Whatever the cause, it made
a 0.2 nT offset in the Del F plot. I can't see which component might have
been offset. The corruption to the the Dist, SQ and SV plots
continues. *
*Tucson. The derived plots, Del F, X, Y Dist, SQ and SV all stopped at
1305 UT, on 11/8/18 (YD 312). *
*Stennis. There are gaps in the data at the following times: 2117, 2118,
2119, 2328, 2329 UT, on 11/8/18 (YD 312), and 0825, 0826, and 0827 UT, on
11/9/18 (YD 313). According to the GOES error emails, we are not receiving
transmissions from Stennis, but I have reset MagWorm and looked at the GOES
module. The transmissions are taking place. *
Honolulu. *We are still experiencing data gaps as follows: 1634, 1635,
1639, 1954, 1955 UT, on 11/8/18 (YD 312), and 0426, 0427, 0448, 0449, and
0815 UT, on 11/9/18 (YD 313). Steve Ortiz will Replace the GPS clock this
weekend. *
*San Juan. According to the GOES error emails, we are not receiving
transmissions from San Juan, but I have looked at the GOES module. The
transmissions are taking place. *
*Guam. The internet connection is still down. Hopefully Kat Uchima will get
to the observatory soon. *
*Dist., SQ and SV. The Dist, SQ and SV plots from Shumagin are still
corrupted. The derived plots from Tucson: Dist, SQ and SV all stopped at
1305 UT, on 11/8/18 (YD 312). *
*Boulder E-Field. None.*
*DST. There is the daily offset in the USGS Dst-1min plot resulting from
the corresponding data gap in the plot for Kakioka at around the end/start
of each day. *
That's all.
Have a nice holiday weekend,
Ed Sauter
