color=#000000>The New Madrid Chapter of the Earthquake Engineering Research
Institute (EERI) is conducting the NMES for completion by February 2012, the
Bicentennial of the Great New Madrid Earthquake Series.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>The NMES project will conduct its work
utilizing in-kind volunteer contributions, conducting meetings on important
issues, and encouraging research, but currently has no dedicated funding.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>The Scenario is being developed
collaboratively by participants from a broad range of <st1:place
w:st="on">Central U.S.</st1:place> professional sectors.</FONT></P>

w:st="on">MO</st1:State></FONT></STRONG></st1:place> on <STRONG><FONT
color=#0000ff>Friday, November, 7, 2008</FONT></STRONG> to select the specific
event(s) that will drive the development of the Scenario.<SPAN

welcome. The NMES Executive Committee, along with those attending the Resolution
Meeting, will finalize the decision on “the Scenario event(s)” and the issues
that will be pursued in the development of the Scenario.</FONT></P>
