Progress Report of the <EM><STRONG>St. Louis Area Earthquake Hazards Mapping
Project</STRONG></EM> will be held on Monday, February 5, 2007, from 1:30 until
4:00 pm. <SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>The meeting will be held
in Room 209 of the MoDOT Transportation Management Center at 14301 South Outer
Forty Road; Town & Country, Mo.</P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; TEXT-INDENT: 0.5in">Those working
on the project will give brief updates on the recent progress in hazards mapping
and database development.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>More
importantly, <B style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal">potential users of the
project’s products will have the opportunity to make requests, suggestions, and
critique</B> the project work to date.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">

open at 8:00 am; presentations and panel discussion from 8:30 am until noon and

Trip<o:p></o:p></B></P>

second <B style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal"><I
style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">Earthquake Insight Field Trip</I></B> will
be held on Thursday and Friday, May 31 and June 1, 2007.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>The trip will start and end in <st1:City
w:st="on">Memphis</st1:City>, <st1:State w:st="on">Tenn.</st1:State>, and will
include visits to sites and sights in northeast <st1:State
w:st="on">Arkansas</st1:State>, southeast <st1:State
w:st="on">Missouri</st1:State>, southernmost <st1:State
w:st="on">Illinois</st1:State>, western <st1:State
w:st="on">Kentucky</st1:State>, and western <st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place
w:st="on">Tennessee</st1:place></st1:State>.</P>

is designed for non-scientists, such as business leaders, elected officials, and
media – especially those in finance, insurance, equity, portfolio management,
utilities, infrastructure, business operations, logistics and distribution,

than a dozen expert geoscientists, engineers, and planners active in the central

the St. Louis Science Center (5050 Oakland Avenue; St. Louis, Mo.) on Saturday,
February 3, 2007. This annual outreach effort, a cornerstone of the annual
Missouri Earthquake Awareness Week, is especially for general audiences, K-12
