The paper you want for ink writing is a long grain 16 lb paper. Any large
paper company stocks large printing sheets typically in boxes of 2500
sheets. They will usually cut the paper to any size you wish. It is
important that when they cut the paper they cut it so that the longest side
is cut parallel to the long grain of the original sheet. Otherwise the pen
may clog more frequently from loose fibers on the paper. If you are using
heat writing paper, I'm not sure of a source as this type of paper has been
supplanted by more modern printing styles. If you want paper to smoke, use
an enamel paper, again available from any paper house although it will
usually need to be custom cut. I have 4 reams of VR-60/65 ink paper and 1
ream of smoke paper for use with MEQ recorders. It is free but you will need
to pay the shipping.

Hi all,

At Lamont we have a helicorder we maintain, mainly for show and tell.
The place we've sourced our paper from in the past (Geotech Instruments)
no longer carries any paper. Does anyone have any leads on where I could
find such a thing?

Thanks,
Joseph
