Hi All:

We have a seismic station in NW Montana that consists of a
K2 data logger with 3 components of strong motion and a short period
vertical seismometer, all telemetered via FreeWave DGR115R radios to a
PC running Earthworm. It is a good station at runs fine until it goes
dead every few months or so. When it goes comatose, I can't seem connect
to the K2 using hyperterminal. During a site visit, powering down the
system and installing a new CF memory card fixes the problem.

Does anybody have similar occurrences or suggestions on how
to diagnose the problem short of a site visit?

            Thanks for any feedback. -Mike
